The worst mistake for all for all of us is to miss our chance to really Live. There is nothing more valuable in our life than our time. Each day of our life is incredibly valuable since time can never be gained back. We can spend money and earn more money to spend but we can never earn back the time we have already spent..time is an asset which keeps decreasing every second…this is why it is so valuable and is definitely our most precious asset

Not making the best usage of our time is definitely a complete waste of our most precious asset. In fact any day of our life lost unable to feel any « joy of living » due to excessive stress, frustrations or disappointments is a real waste of our most precious asset.

There are countless possibilities for us to waste our most precious asset in our professional and personal life.

We can waste it in a work we have agreed to do only to earn money in order for us to enjoy our life outside of work. Many people have a job which does not fulfil them. Many feel bored with their work most of the time, this is actually referred to as the bore-out syndrom. Others are disengaged, they just do what is required to keep their job (brown out syndrom). On the other side of the spectrum, we find employees who are workaholics and end-up in burn-out. Whenever your work does not allow you to feel fulfilled, or even worse deteriorate your well being as it happens in cases of burn-outs, you are in fact wasting some of your most precious asset, and a huge portion of it, since work represents usually 8 hours per day, 5 days a week…

But we can also waste our most precious asset in our private life by making ourselves live an existence which does not fulfils our needs. … by playing a role that others or society at large expect from us… this creates a huge frustration and ends up unfortunately with having the same regret as the majority of people at the end of their life, of having completely missed out, of not having lived their true life but the life others expected from them.

The presence or absence of joy in our life is probably the best indicator to show us if we are or not currently wasting our most precious asset.

Steve Jobs shared during an emotional speech to the new graduates of Stamford University his daily practice to make sure that he was not wasting his most important asset. Each morning, when he looked himself in the mirror, he was asking himself this simple question: “if today was the last day of my life would I want to do what I am about to do today”. Whenever the answer was ‘No’ for too many days in a row, he knew he had to change something….

How would you answer his simple but powerful question ? If you look back at the previous weeks, months, years..how many times would you have answered ‘No’  ?

If there are too many ‘No’, if you feel less and less the ‘joy of living’, these are clear indications that it is time for you to change something before it is too late!

Never too early to start living life at its very best!! Ready ? start now

The terms « existing » and « living » are often used to describe different aspects of human experience. While they both pertain to the state of being, they carry distinct connotations and implications.

Existing generally refers to the mere fact of one’s existence or being present in the world. It implies the basic state of being alive and having physical or conscious existence. Existing can be seen as a fundamental state that applies to all living beings, regardless of their level of engagement or fulfillment. It encompasses the basic functions of survival, such as breathing, eating, and functioning biologically. Existing can be considered a passive state, where an individual is merely present without actively participating or experiencing life to its fullest potential.

On the other hand, living is a more dynamic and active concept. It denotes a state of being fully engaged and actively experiencing life. Living involves not only the physical aspects of existence but also the psychological, emotional, and social dimensions. It encompasses a sense of purpose, vitality, and personal fulfillment. Living is about actively pursuing and embracing experiences, growth, and self-expression. It goes beyond the mere act of existing and encompasses actively engaging with the world, forming relationships, pursuing passions, and finding meaning in one’s life.

In essence, existing can be seen as the basic state of being alive, while living represents a more enriched and meaningful experience of actively engaging with life’s opportunities, challenges, and joys. Existing is a passive state, while living implies an active and conscious participation in the world around us.
